Cubera and Rooster are top of my list. Had plenty of Sailfish and Marlin. But my friends I'm fishing with there, have not had billfish before.

Sailfish are caught year round in Quepos, but can be caught in larger quantities from late November through early May during the “Costa Rica Summer”

Well that’s a wrap for the 2019 Pelagic Rockstar tourney!

Made a valiant effort on the meat fish and caught some bill fish as well!

Team Lutgens finished 4th in the tuna division and 5th in the dorado out of 52 boats.

Today was tough and we pulled the hook on two nice tuna just feet from the gaff!

Great times, endless memories and lasting friendships!

Marlin Madness!

May 1, 2017 | Quepos

Clients showed up late–still in party mode! Headed offshore and things were slow, so the boys decided to drown some squid. Finished the day with some fresh grouper and a bunch of other bottom dwellers. We have two days off to get our new auto pilot installed! Stay tuned for updates and soon to be overnight fishing reports from the Seamounts here in Costa Rica! Can you say “Marlin Madness!!”
